The 31st Eurobike grandly opened its doors on June 21 in Frankfurt, Germany. It marks the second time Eurobike has been held in Frankfurt since moving from Friedrichshafen, and notably, the first show following the global pandemic reopening.

As the global bellwether of the bicycle industry, top-tier brands in the world of bicycles and e-bikes from all over the world converge here to showcase their proudest products and cutting-edge technological achievements. MEGA CHINAMOTOR is here to help you appreciate the allure of these top-tier products at this year’s Eurobike.

I. An E-MTB with the Same Weight as a MTB

The SCOTT Lumen eRIDE is spearheading a whole new generation of E-bikes, redefining the correlation between power and weight, and setting the standard for the future of mountain biking. Inspired by the acclaimed SCOTT Spark platform, the Lumen eRIDE looks and feels like a regular MTB, but with the acceleration capacity of Nino Schurter on demand. For its clean external aesthetic, the real magic lies within, integrating rear shock, battery, display and cables in one truly innovative package. The TQ HPR50 drive system delivers a max torque of 50Nm, with up to 520Wh of  range. This results in 200% of additional power, while only weighing in at 20% heavier than a regular Spark.

II. An E-Gravel Bike Made of Wood

The Austrian company, “My Esel,” stands out in the competitive bicycle manufacturing market with its revolutionary design concept of creating bicycles out of wood. They have launched the first wooden electric gravel bike, which made its debut at the Eurobike exhibition. “My Esel” offers a level of comfort superior to other frames of the same stiffness and extreme durability – a characteristic specifically sought after in gravel bikes.

III. A Freight E-Bike That Makes Deliveries More Comfortable

the full-service mobility provider CYCLE launched their brand new, innovative delivery E-Bike model, the 20FIFTY. The E-Bike has been specifically designed with deliveries in mind, and promises a revolutionary solution for the transportation of goods in urban areas. The 20 FIFTY boasts a total load capacity of up to 200kg, a 1000 watt-hour battery and a modular dual-dropout system, allowing the wheelbase to be extended. The E-Bike will be available on request from July on a subscription basis, starting at €129.00 per month, including maintenance, service and insurance.

IV. A Novel MGU Electric Drive System with an Integrated Motor and Gearbox

This year’s Eurobike Gold Award in the “Components” category goes to Pinion! The new E-drive system with the Motor.Gearbox.Unit (MGU) was named the winner this evening at the official awards ceremony.

The Pinion motor-gearbox unit completely convinced the renowned jury of experts from the bike and mobility industry. In addition, the two from nine launch partners, Tout Terrain and Kettler, were also on stage with their MGU bikes – Tout Terrain also scooped the Gold Award.

However, in the context of a global economy that is less than optimistic, it is paramount to produce products that satisfy and reassure customers, in addition to expanding customer channels online and offline, and enhancing brand awareness if one wishes to hold firm or even turn the tables in turbulent times.
